NYFW is always one of the top & my favorite fashion weeks! There are so many great designers who showcase their fierce and powerful new collections. NYFW ran from February 8th through the 16th. There are too many favorites of mine to post, I mean I can post them but you’ll probably get bored lol. Check out some of my favorite designers and their pieces below.

Some pieces from the shows were literal artwork. A few things that I love and are key trends are:

-Bold & sexy pant suits

-Stripes and animal prints- both separately and mashed together into one fabric

-Colorful tights

-Colorful turbans

-Floral & lace applique

I absolutely adored Kate Spade’s runway show, the entire collection was bold, feminine, and colorful. A big 70’s vibe that we’ve been seeing already and it’s still going strong into the year. A lot of key trends you’ll be seeing in stores everywhere, so keep an eye out for those! I also really liked Jonathan Simkhai’s show! His collection displayed a great deal of the key pink trend, play on prints and denim. I have been adoring his style lately so I’m really excited each season for him. Hope you guys enjoyed this post on some of the great designers this past NYFW!

Paris Fashion Week. Oui s’il vous plaît!

chanel PFW 18

Paris is one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in the world. Si romantique! Not only is it SO gorgeous, it’s home to one of the “Big Four” fashion weeks! Probably one of the most popular fashion weeks. Many great shows happened in PFW which started September 24th and ended on October 2nd.

One of my all time favorite shows from Paris was Chanel! Duh. Chanel didn’t only have one of the greatest collections this season, the setup for the show was visually simulating! Literally one of the most creative and realistic looking setups I’ve seen. Kudos to the visual team who brought that to life! Karl Lagerfeld created a beach, with sand and real water. No seriously, there was a boardwalk and tiki huts at the Grand Palais!!

What was great about Karl’s show this year was a movement towards feminism and the relaxed touches he added to each look. Some models were barefoot, others in sneakers throughout the runway show. He ditched the heels and created a comfortable catwalk for his models. Some of his looks even had a laid back look with black leggings. I know some people in the industry were like “whaaaaat” but majority of us were like “heck yes!!!” It’s about damn time leggings make it on the designer runway and I’m all for his looks. The show was just amazing, and so many people were pleased with his take on the new SS19 collection.

Lagerfeld seriously made such great pieces for this SS19, there was denim lace! He displayed all the trends happening now with the biker shorts, sundresses, and sneakers. I loved seeing him bring back the 90s vibe with rhinestone accessories and belts that spelled out ‘CHANEL’

His collection was  all about feeling good, and looking effortlessly put together. Now that’s a lewk so many of us are excited about! I hope you enjoyed this post on Chanel, one of my all time favorite designers. Leave a comment below and let me know what you think about his fashion movement!

London Fashion Week

IMG_4912

London is one of the “Big Four” fashion capitals of the 21st century. I was lucky enough to spend a big chunk of my life from 2 years old and up in London with family. I absolutely loved going shopping there! The second my mom would say let’s go to Selfridges or Harrods, I’d jump out of my seat, grab my bag and we’d be off. Fashion in London is always 20 steps ahead to me. I remember seeing these amazing trends and buying so many great pieces, and then months later it would just start touching down in Los Angeles. I was a happy camper having 80% of my closet being awesome British fashion.

London Fashion Week ran from September 14th through the 18th and there were so many great designers showing off their creations. I’m focusing this post on three of the top designers that I loved from LFW: Mary Katrantzou, Erdem, and Simone Rocha. They are all so visually stunning!!

These photos for LFW are from Vogue Magazines official fashion week photographer, Corey Tenold. He takes amazing pictures during fashion week, and has great backstage shots that you don’t end up seeing as much. I love that because you get to see so much more detail and life brought to each shot. Check out his Instagram @coreytenold and see for yourself!

Which designer did you like most?! I love them all because of the floral patterns and designs. So much beauty and detail into each garment! I’m a sucker for detail and hope you guys enjoyed this post!
