Leopard Love

One of the biggest trends this season is, leopard! I’m sure you’ve seen this print everywhere and on everything! This trend has hit every category from clothing, to shoes, and accessories! I’m a huge fan of animal print, especially when it’s around Fall/Winter with the cooler weather.

I’ve been looking through manyyy sites to see which brands have some amazing pieces. Literally every brand today has some leopard print and prices vary greatly. Usually for smaller trends I tend to not invest so much into them. I can usually tell when it’s something that will continue through seasons or not.  Instead, I buy from a more affordable brand. That way I don’t feel guilty having to donate that out within a year. I love a bold statement piece, whether that’s a knit or some booties! Scroll down and enjoy some of the amazing pieces I found for you!

Shirt dresses forever!

The weather has been pretty cool early mornings and at nights here in LA. We’re still getting mid 80 degrees here during the day though! That hasn’t stopped me from wearing my favorite shirt dresses out. Shirt dresses are so comfortable and easy to throw on and go! They’re the summer rompers to my Fall/Winter wardrobe, haha. Anyone else agree?

You can be very casual with flip-flops or sandals, or for a party/date night throw on a sexy pair of booties! My favorite is also playing around with a fun hat, belt, and some jewelry to create a full look. Hope you guys enjoyed these links, let me know if you ended up purchasing any! I’d love to know which one you got, and how the fit is for you! Happy weekend loves!

Milano Fashion Week- VERSACE

IMG_4844

Ahh Milan, the city that’s recognized as the world’s biggest fashion capital, and the design capital. It’s not just Italy’s second most populous city, it’s where fashion lives and breathes. Milan FW brings in one of the highest revenue, and visitors each year!

With that being said, you best believe the designers stepped up their game for each and every show. Milan’s fashion week was from September 18th through the 24th. I’m focusing this post on Versace and all their incredible designs for SS19. I loved seeing so many vibrant colors and patterns mixed together. Some pieces are so retro and have huge throwback looks. Everything is coming back from the 70s, 80s, 90s, but with new twists. I’ve compiled some of the s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g designs from Versace and hope you enjoy all this glorious eye candy!

I’m obsessed with the gorgeous jewelry & handbags! Leave me a comment on what’s your favorite piece, I’d love to know!

London Fashion Week

IMG_4912

London is one of the “Big Four” fashion capitals of the 21st century. I was lucky enough to spend a big chunk of my life from 2 years old and up in London with family. I absolutely loved going shopping there! The second my mom would say let’s go to Selfridges or Harrods, I’d jump out of my seat, grab my bag and we’d be off. Fashion in London is always 20 steps ahead to me. I remember seeing these amazing trends and buying so many great pieces, and then months later it would just start touching down in Los Angeles. I was a happy camper having 80% of my closet being awesome British fashion.

London Fashion Week ran from September 14th through the 18th and there were so many great designers showing off their creations. I’m focusing this post on three of the top designers that I loved from LFW: Mary Katrantzou, Erdem, and Simone Rocha. They are all so visually stunning!!

These photos for LFW are from Vogue Magazines official fashion week photographer, Corey Tenold. He takes amazing pictures during fashion week, and has great backstage shots that you don’t end up seeing as much. I love that because you get to see so much more detail and life brought to each shot. Check out his Instagram @coreytenold and see for yourself!

Which designer did you like most?! I love them all because of the floral patterns and designs. So much beauty and detail into each garment! I’m a sucker for detail and hope you guys enjoyed this post!

NYFW 2018

IMG_4751

For anyone who uses any social media platforms, I’m pretty sure you’ve seen tons of pictures and videos from this years NYFW. What is Fashion Week you say? Well, in the shortest form: Fashion Week is when the industry’s top designers present their upcoming collections in a series of runway shows and presentations. These runway shows range from a simple setup to insane locations, set design, music, lighting, you get it.

NYFW has been a huge hit with some of the best in the industry setting the curve really high for the other big 3 cities. NYFW ran from September 6th through September 14th, with some fabulous designers like Oscar de la Renta, Alice + Olivia, Self-Portrait, Michael Costello, Ralph Lauren, Jeremy Scott, to name a few.

Scroll down to see some of NYFW’s best photos and top designers, I’m in love with these new collections for AW18! So many trends have already hit stores, so join in and enjoy!

NYFW was a great kick off for fashion week, and all the designers showcasing their hottest trends. Autumn/Winter doesn’t need to be all dark and grungy, though that’s a whole lotta fun too! Designers like Alice + Olivia and Cynthia Rowley brought in the fun, floral, and sparkly side to AW18 and I love it! There’s nothing like bold animal prints with pops of color and sequins! Oscar de la Renta sure showed us what the power of prints, and detailed sequins look like this season. The touches of red and maroon are to absolutely live for! Which designers did you enjoy most? Stay tuned for more upcoming posts on fashion week.

Fall Beauty

img_2221.jpg

Saturday September 22nd is when Autumn 2018 officially starts, are you ready?! Well ready or not, it’s here! There’s Fall and Halloween decorations everywhere, pumpkin spice is in the air, and stores are already selling you on that must have sweater! Meanwhile here in LA, I’m still frolicking around in my rompers and crop tops…

One of my favorite things about Fall is not only the awesome fashion, it’s all the beauty products and creations that come to L-I-F-E! That darker, more bold makeup look is back in town. Many brands are showing off all their hot new collections, and beauty bloggers are showing off their Fall lewks. I’ll be sharing with you guys some of the great shades I’ve come across from six different brands. They’re all right on the ball with this seasons color trends, so take your pick!

YSL

DF9F9051-3171-4286-8EC3-24173CCDEA7C

YSL has amazing hues for their new Fall collection. They hit the trend on reds, blues, and earth tones perfectly. Whether it’s for your lips, face, or nails they’ve got something just for you! Check out their collection and see for yourself!

DOLCE & GABBANA

IMG_2208

D&G has some of the prettiest and most bold shades of pink and red for this season. If you didn’t know by now, these are two of the top color trends for Fall, in so many variations. Check out their gorgeous lipsticks here!

SMASHBOX

IMG_2222

IMG_2223

IMG_2221

Gorgeous hues in matte, and shimmer for this new season from Smashbox! I’m dying for all the shimmer shadows! The amazing eye palette you see last, which is also the first picture on this post, is called ‘Sunlit Yellow’ and it’s only $29. Not bad at all ladies! Check out what’s new on their website.

DIOR

IMG_2207

Dior has always been one of my favorites for lipsticks and glosses. They offer so many great shades, and different textures. This look was created by @peterphilipsmakeup using two of Dior’s new Ultra Rouge Lipsticks. They’re ultra shiny, with a semi matte finish, and amazing hydration for your beautiful pouts. Dior has 25 shades currently, and each lipstick goes for $37 on their website.

CHANEL

001E1837-608D-48C1-B4C7-FCF6D2C0F7FD

Chanel has got this Fall on lock when you see their newest collections. I mean look at those deep hues. Their olive-green hits right on Pantone’s ‘Martini Olive’ AW18 color trend forecast, check my previous post for more on Pantone’s AW18 color trends. The pods are Chanels ‘Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eyeshadow’ and the green beauty is color ‘836- Vert Metal.’ Nordstrom carries them and they go for $36, not bad for such an elegant satin finish!

FENTY

fenty

We all know how Rihanna changed the game of the beauty industry when she brought out her own brand last year. She has some of the best lip colors and textures out there! Fenty ‘Mattemoiselle’ has some of the top shades for this season, and they are only $18 each!

I hope you guys enjoyed this read on some of the beauty industries top brands bringing their A game for this Fall! I’ve linked the brands websites, so enjoy exploring and let me know what you guys liked most in the comments! Oh, and if you’ve tried any of these products I’d love to know your personal review on them as well!

Another fabulous trend hitting the streets is stylish sleepwear for outings. Yes, stylish sleepwear is a thing now. As you can see, just because we’re going into AW18 doesn’t mean it’s all dark and boring. There are such great mixes of florals, bold patterns, pops of red, pink, and even bright whites! What I love is that some of Summer is still carried through AW18 but with a twist to the boldness and shades of the prints. Stay tuned for more fashion posts coming up this season but before I go, enjoy this great quote I came across.

“Fashion is part of the daily air and it changes all the time, with all the events. You can even see the approaching of a revolution in clothes. You can see and feel everything in clothes.” – Diana Vreeland

Faux fur-enzy!

fauxfur by Arhaus Furniture

Faux fur has been a special treat to fashion for many years now. But! It’s finally becoming a more popular option and style. You can literally see faux fur everywhere these days, it’s quite fashionably hot or shall I say haute! Faux fur used to be seen as a less desirable option years ago, and was mainly worn by vegans. With today’s day and age of knowledge and new technology, many people are saying buh-bye to real fur and going f-a-u-x!

I personally am ecstatic about this and have loved so many brands that use faux fur instead of real. With so much great technology and advances in creating these synthetics, nowadays you can barely tell a part a faux from a real fur. That’s why many brands (with still some supporting real fur, shame) have made the switch over.

Prada back in 2007 was one of the firsts to take a charge towards the synthetic movement. Ms. Prada herself claimed she was ‘bored’ with real fur and in her 2007 Fall/Winter collection she put tons of faux fur in there. Many people couldn’t even tell the difference! PETA Europe was so excited over this that they sent Miuccia Prada a bouquet of roses. Anna Sui has been fully embracing the faux fur look for a couple of years now. She has some amazing pieces with her unique twists to all things faux. Check out her Fall Winter collections, they’re gorgeous.

fauxfurAnnaSui2015

Chanel also supports the faux fur movement! Master of haute couture, Karl Lagerfeld said “You cannot fake chic, but you can be chic and fake fur” Go Karl! In 2010 he surprised all his guests at his Ice Wonderland show in Paris with faux fur on everything! From coats, to separates, bags, boots, you name it. See all the gorgeous pieces from the collection here.

fauxfurChanel2010

I’ve linked some of my favorite brands and their faux fur coats and vests that are super popular this Fall & Winter!

ff5ff4

These two beauties are from Free People and they have AMAZING VEGAN coats and jackets!! They have some great options for under $200, so you don’t have to go broke trying to look cute.

ff1

H&M also has some amazing coat options, whether it’s a long, cropped, feathery, puffy, furry coat you’re looking for. I personally love the feathery and printed styles!

ff3

Oh and ladies, don’t forget your faux fur vests! I’ve linked these cozy and stylish ones from Nordstrom and some are even on sale!! Get it girl. Great as a gift for loved ones, or yourself duh.

I want to buy all colors, and prints!! Let me know what you guys think, are you into faux fur? And if so, fur coats or vests? I prefer coats, they suit me better than a vest. Happy Saturday loves!

Hats, caps and more hats!

Hats, caps and more hats!

It’s finally cooler here in LA, and temperatures have dropped to digits that we haven’t had in a LONG time! Although, compared to the east coast this weather isn’t cold, but it’s a blessing from the triple digits we had! While I’m a huge lover of the sun and summer heat, I will confess that it is nice to be able to open the window and get a refreshing breeze. I also forgot what it was like to be able to layer, rather than trying to find the lightest t-shirt or dress to throw on and not melt away in.

One of my newest obsessions this year and season, is hats! While I do love a lot of different styles, my main one at the moment is the Cabby hat!! I’ve mainly heard them being called Cabby hats growing up, but they go by so many names all over the world! So depending on where you come from/are used to, you may call them Baker boy caps, Flat caps, Fisherman hats, Newsboy hats, Poor Boy hats, and more. You can literally google it and see how many different names there are for this gorgeous and versatile cap.

I love following trends and always getting a good find/deal on any piece I own. I’m a sucker for new styles, whether it has embellishments, embroidery, or some cool effect to it. I’m sure there are more out there like me, right? Check out some of my favorites below! I’ve linked four of my favorite brands caps and they’re all so cute and on trend!

  1. FOREVER 21

cabby1

These Forever 21 options are all such cute cabby’s!! I personally love all the red and maroons were seeing this season. Don’t you?! These are all so affordable and on trend, they’ll dress up any outfit you wear. Most are even under $20 which is fabulous compared to some that I’ve seen higher up in the $100-$250 range, which for me is a bit much for a hat. Each hat is made of different materials and some are a combination of polyester, wool, nylon, cotton, etc. Find these adorable cabby’s here!

       2. URBAN OUTFITTERS

cabby3

Urban Outfitters has some adorable caps, which on their site they call Fisherman caps! Their caps are a bit pricier than the Forever 21 options, but they are just as fabulous and hit the trend spot on! I mean look at that mustard!! The mustard cap (bottom left) goes for $42.00 and also comes in a cool grey (top right) Most of these styles are of wool and polyester combinations, and you can spot clean them! Haaay. Check them out here!

       3. ASOS

cabby4

Asos is one of my top favorite shopping sites. I mean who doesn’t love a late night of scrolling through hundreds of amazing pieces and drooling over everything your heart desires. Maybe there’s a glass of wine included in this activity as well, maybe. Scrolling through their styles, I did notice some were a bit pricier than most caps I’ve seen. But! They do have some options that are lower, starting around $19 and go up to about $72. I personally love anything red or that awesome olive green you see on the bottom left. They’re obviously so popular for Fall/Winter. Find these styles and more right here!

       4. MACY’S

cabby2

My final brand is, Macy’s! Macy’s has some amazing, detailed styles of these caps. They have great color options and styles for Fall and Winter. Some of the brands featured in my collage are Nine West, and August Hats. They range from different brands and prices, but some go for about $20-$30 which is great for staying on budget and still looking stylish without breaking the bank! What’s even better about their prices is that they currently have a sale going on with special savings on most styles AND you can even use the code ‘SAVEBIG’ for an extra 20% off! How great is that?! The sale ends 11/12/17 so get shopping! You can find these fab pieces here!

I hope you guys enjoyed some of my finds, and are drooling over them just as much as I am! I have been obsessing over these caps for a long time now and they’re very on trend this season. I remember even up until about a year ago they were very male driven in fashion, and in the British culture. But! Now they’re moving to women’s fashion in all shapes and sizes and I’m absolutely loooooooving it! Many are under $20 which is such a grea find for an awesome staple piece this season!  I wish I had all the money in the world and closet space to buy them all! Don’t you?! Let me know what you guys think below in the comments.
